Novo Ivc have rolled out their trusted SkyPOS solution to Kazakhstan’s leading airline, Air Astana

After appearing on our maps just 15 years ago, Kazakhstan now boasts one of the world’s fastest growing economies. Air Astana incorporated in 2001 and named after Kazakhstan’s fast growing modern capital city Astana, operates over 50 domestic and international routes, the majority out of Almaty, Kazakhstan’s second city.

With routes stretching as far as Moscow, Beijing, Dubai and London servicing 2.3 million passengers per year Air Astana has earned its place as the clear leader within the Commonwealth of Independent States region ensuring safe and reliable air travel to and from Kazakhstan.

Novo Ivc’s tried, tested and trusted solution was last month rolled out across the entire fleet through Belgian Duty Free provider, Flying Shopping Services. Flying Shopping Services chose to implement the Touchstar ruggedized large touch screen hardware platform, the Falcon in conjunction with Novo Ivc’s intuitive POS software to cater for all of Air Astana’s onboard sales.

Peter foster Air Astana’s JSC President has clear and ambitious expansion strategy for the business with plans to train and recruit a further 300 pilots to cater for his dynamic growth plans which are to increase the fleet from 21 aircraft to 63 by 2022.

Novo Ivc’s proven solution is currently installed across 49 airlines worldwide stretching from South Africa to Israel and into Australasia.
