In cases where the Capital Purchase of a system is prohibitive Novo provides an "off balance sheet" operating lease option which means that the system is rented and not owned and can simply be returned or released after an agreed period. This payment system facilitates a much faster implementation process as board approval is usually not required for a rented system. Systems are usually rented over 3 years but can also be rented over 4 or 5 after which a brand new system will be offered as replacement.

A rental payment model can be structured in 2 ways, 1) a "per transaction" payment model (where the system is paid for by an agreed monetary amount per transaction performed on the mobile computers) and 2) a fixed rental fee for an agreed term. (A fixed monthly fee is proven to be a more cost effective model than the per transaction base model adopted by some suppliers which can cost up to 20% more over 3 years).
Straight Capital Purchase is also available and is clearly more cost effective than either of the two rental models listed above.
