Novo Ivc’s Rail Solution takes advantage of the Online Environment which rail networks operate in, enabling advanced communication through GPRS, 3G and Mobile technology. This Live Connectivity allows for communication to external systems, the ability to achieve messaging interaction, Online Chip and Pin, communications with Management Systems (BOS) and between terminals on the train. Stock control and data transfer are automated and therefore allow for a more efficient and streamline process. The solution can be Trolley Based, at a Buffet Counter or allow for the provision of First Class seat order taking. The solution is facilitated through the following:

Plan-o-gram: TrackPOS also features a unique sales facility where train staff can view the cabin layout on the POS device and make sales accordingly. This increases efficiency and can be also be used for pre-orders and marketing information.

Ticketing

Since late 2008, Novo Ivc has been developing the latest in Mobile Ticket Issuing Systems. The project evolved out of a requirement identified by rail network operator First Scot Rail for a state-of-the art ticket issuing device. Novo Ivc has worked with several strategic partners to facilitate the solution; with the hardware all built in-house.

The Spirit revolutionises traditional ticket issuing systems with its rugged mobile computing technology and high volume, rapid transactions. The device interfaces with standard managed rail service data centre systems, has enhanced lightweight ergonomics, a user-friendly interface and can be combined with a separate chip and pin device.
